new thing: BlogHer Publishing Network

You have probably noticed something new to the right of this text: ads, courtesy of the BlogHer Publishing Network.  I first started talking about this back in February, and have spent the better part of the months in between then and now hemming and hawing and probably driving my contact over at BlogHer ads a little nuts with my prevarication.  But now, here we are, here the ads are, and we'll see how this goes.

I'm not going to lie: I had some serious misgivings about giving over real estate to Venus shaver and Best Foods mayonnaise ads.  Three weeks ago I thought I'd totally pulled the plug on the idea, but in my work to consider how to change the way I make a living, I thought better of that plug-pulling.

Also the fact that Punk Domestics, a website I particularly love, is part of the network, and that they responded quickly and positively to my inquiry re how they make it work, def helped push me in this direction.

I'm hoping becoming part of this vast community of women bloggers will help little ole The Force Expansive to possibly reach more eyes.  That's a good thing, don't you agree?

So, long-time readers, I hope this new ad scheme doesn't offend your sensibilities.  If you've got something to say about it, don't hesitate to spill it in the Comments below.

Meanwhile, here we go, checking out something new, trying it on for size.

Much love, XOX
