Inspiration: kick ass at 90

www.seniorplanet.orgBAM!  I've been a little obsessed with how to dress now that I'm older, wondering how to balance that divide between drab and clown, how to continue to be fabulous. How to be MORE fabulous actually, to celebrate how great it is to be this old.

No more wondering!

I've just spent 47 minutes that I otherwise would have/should have been writing, watching this terrific show, "Fabulous Fashionistas."

And now I'm feeling so inspired! 

In fact, now I'm marveling at how little fabulous is in my wardrobe, and what I might do to address that. Stat. As in NOW, before I'm 90.

Being old, as someone says in this film, is a privilege. Certainly I feel that on a day-to-day basis, feel the accumulated wisdom of my years even at my young age of 50. At the same time, I also feel the creeping invisibility, at work, elsewhere, the Ma'am-ing, the assumption that somehow Cool is only for the very young.

In your face, babies!

Really, make time for this show. It makes me want to paint, jump, sing, dance around. And most of all, it makes me even happier to be alive, to still be here, ALIVE and kicking (ass) with the rest of you.

It's a party people. Get dressed up and celebrate!
