MA would so rock these Converse

Yesterday was a good shopping day. Long, but good. The Gaggle drove to an outlet mall about an hour from home and spent literally all day going from store to store in the monster complex.
I'm not kidding: we shopped all day, 'til the sun was going down in a spectacular blaze of pink and orange.
Then I got home and saw that the cool Tokyo Milk Marie Cosmetic Bag I'd ordered, inspired by Madame Guillotine, had arrived. That's not Marie Antoinette -- it's her big sister -- but still I love it.
This morning, I'm completely exhausted AND totally delighted, looking at my new stuff, thinking it's all perfect. Arranging my treasure, loving it up.
And also convinced that Marie Antoinette would have rocked, like me, the sparkly slip-on Converse. Probably only if they had that hidden inner wedge-heel, though. I don't see her as the type who'd run around in flats too much, let alone kids sneakers like me, but maybe, on a casual day, when she wasn't mudding it up at Le Hameau de la Reine, on a day when she was just hanging out with her posse, downing bon-bons and watching the Big Game, maybe on a day like that, she'd realize that Converse are always cool.
Did I mention I'm exhausted?
Which probably explains why I'm entertaining these thoughts, stuck in my chair, wiped out, periodically putting my feet up on the desk so I can take in the sight of the happy-making sneaks. And wishing that Amazon Prime, fast as it is, could hurry the hell up and deliver Queen of Fashion: What Marie Antoinette Wore to the Revolution to my door, the latest in the long series of books I'm reading in my quenchless thirst for more and more and more. If only I had the book to drop myself into today, all would be perfect.
Without it, it's still awesome. I mean, really: how could it not be when my absurd full-body shopping-fatigue is reminding me constantly of how much fun I had yesterday with my friends, all day long and into the evening, and I have this modest pile of perfect new stuff to carry me happy into today and beyond?
AND the sparkly kicks. The best!
